About Our Walking Trails
Its gives us great pleasure to announce the launch of our Walking booklet on 13th Aug to coincide with heritage week.
The Balla CRD and South West Mayo Development scheme has produced a heritage booklet about the Balla walkway. It has sections photographs and directions concerning three main walkways around Balla.
Stephen Goldrick and Stephen Dunne researched and produced the booklet with the assistance of Catharina Morley. Photographs and layout production were by David Moran. Thanks to Deirdre Cunningham and Mayo County Council.
South West Mayo Leader Company and the support of Balla Community Council and Balla Community Resource Centre.

We'd love you to join is for a Guided Walk about Balla for the Launch Weather permitting, Meeting at Maple Hall (Community Centre) at 11am
This is a Free event suitable for everyone including children and we welcome your support.
Refreshments will be provided to all walkers.
Various copies of the booklet will be available and can be used in conjunction with the walk.
The walk involves :

Walk 1. Heritage walk. Around the community centre and square. A short walk.

Walk 2. Town park walk. A circular longer walk at least an hour.

Walk 3. The Dawn Oak walk. Passing the GAA club and the Golf club. At least a half an hour.
